Senior Pastor
​ Curtis Newcomb

Pastor Curtis Newcomb and his wife, Donna, have been with us since June 8, 2005. They are a local couple that grew up in  the Southside area. They were saved on the same night by the former pastor of our church back in 1981. 

Shortly after this time, Pastor Newcomb began to feel God call him to be a Pastor. He moved his family to Hopewell, VA and attended and graduated from Atlantic Baptist Bible College.

The Newcombs served in several ministries in a local church there  before the Lord brought them back home to us as our Pastors Family in 2005. 

Pastor and Mrs. Donna have two wonderful children, five grandchildren, and one dog named Champ. They love to garden, fish, and simply enjoy being around God's people.

​Josh Carroll

Josh and Jennifer Carroll have been with us since 2009. Jennifer is the daughter of Pastor Curtis and Donna. She met Josh while attending Crown College of the Bible in Powell, TN.

Josh and Jennifer were married in 2006 and both graduated from Crown College in 2008. They now have four beautiful children; Katelyn, Madelyn, Jackson, and Emma.  

Josh heads up our Youth Department and our Young Adults Class. Jennifer is the church pianist and helps with both the kids and adult choirs. 

Church Secretary/ Treasurer
Tracy Samples

Tracy has been serving as Southside Baptist Church secretary and treasure since 2015. Tracy also teaches our Junior Church class for grades 2-6. 

She is a homegrown West Virginia girl. She loves to be around God's people, especially His little children. She does so much for our young people; organizing our yearly Easter egg hunt, organizing our yearly back to school Sunday, and taking a huge role in our annual Vacation Bible School.
